TEXARKANA, TEXAS (Nov. 11, 2021) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) men's soccer team fell to LSU-Alexandria (LSUA) 3-1 in the semifinals of the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Tournament on Thursday. The Saints finish the season with an 8-5-3 overall record and 7-1-3 mark in conference.
Head Coach Arthur Salazar commented, "It was a tough loss, but I'm proud of the way the team fought tonight. This is a talented group who deserves to be in the final, but it just wasn't our night. As a coach, it's always a challenge to come into a new environment and get the players to buy in. The team has done a fantastic job of making it a smooth transition. I am thankful for their efforts this season and look forward to growing with the team."

Basics
The Saints started strong but faltered in the second half. Juan Martin Chica (SR/Cali, Colombia) continued his dominant season with the first goal of the match at the 11th minute. O'Neal Edward evened the match for the Generals in the 39th minute with an assist from Danny Stevens. Both teams took three shots in the first half. Joseph Baker (JR/Llantwit Major, Wales, U.K.) was forced to make two saves.
