PATRICK TORRES joins the Saints' cross-country and track and field coaching staff as interim head coach. Torres participated in the cross-country team in 2016 and the track and field team in 2016-2017.
His awards as part of the track and field team include All-Conference in the 5k and 10k in 2016; the 10k in 2017 and the 3k, 5k and 10k in 2018. He was a Scholar-Athlete in 2017 and 2018. As part of the cross-country team, Torres received All-Conference honors in 2016 and was a Scholar-Athlete in 2016.
Torres received his Bachelor of Psychology in May of 2018 and is currently working on his Master of Fine Arts at Texas State University.
Salahuddin comes to OLLU after previously coaching at Huston-Tillotson University (HTU), where he had the privilege to work with multiple athletes who qualified for NAIA Nationals and multiple Red River Athletic Conference champions in the 100m, 200m and 400m.
Salahuddin was a high school football coach for many years in Ohio and Northern Kentucky, coaching multiple student-athletes who have competed at the collegiate and professional levels. He loves every aspect of track and field, from throws to jumps, sprints and long-distance.
Cody McDonnough has joined the staff of cross-country and track and field this spring 2021. McDonnough ran for the University of the Incarnate Word from 2011-2014, and he graduated with a degree in Kinesiology. He has coached individual athletes (high school and college) over the years. He currently teaches at John Marshall High School in San Antonio.
