Bruce Lenington Steps Down as Head Softball Coach

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- After guiding the Our Lady of the Lake (OLLU) softball program to the 2024 NAIA World Series championship, head coach Bruce Lenington is stepping down to pursure other coaching oppotunities. Lenington just finished his sixth season as the Saints' skipper and leaves as the programs all-time winningest coach. 

"I want to thank Coach Lenington for his hard work and dedication to the OLLU softball program and the campus community," said Director of Athletics Tom Norris. "Coach Lenington built this program into a consistent national contender and it has been a joy to watch over the last two seasons. We wish him nothing but the best in the next chapter of his coaching career."

Lenington led the Saints to a 238-65 overall record including a 117-12 mark in Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) games. Under his leadership, the Saints recorded two 50+ win seasons including the National Championship year in 2024, where the Saints finished 57-3, earning Lenington National Coach of the Year honors. 

The Saints are coming off a 47-9 season where they captured both the regular season and tournament championships.
