National Title Highlights Successful Week for OLLU Spirit Team

San Antonio, Texas- The Our Lady of the Lake University dance team continued its remarkable season with a series of strong performances on both the national and conference stages, further solidifying the program's growing reputation within the NAIA.

Most notably, the team captured first place at the NAIA Collegiate Virtual Championship in the All-Girl Cheer division, marking a significant milestone for the program. Competing against programs from across the country, OLLU delivered a polished and energetic routine that earned the top spot in the event. The championship performance showcased the team's athleticism, synchronization, and commitment to excellence, reflecting the countless hours of preparation that went into the routine.

In addition to the All-Girl Cheer title, the Saints also performed well in two additional national categories. OLLU secured second place in the NAIA Team Performance competition, demonstrating versatility and consistency across multiple styles. The team also earned third place in the Super Spirit Showdown, further highlighting the program's ability to compete among the nation's top collegiate spirit programs.

The momentum from the national stage carried into conference competition this past Friday, where OLLU once again showed resilience and determination. The Saints finished third in the conference championship with an overall score of 78.59. The result added another strong performance to an already impressive season for the program.

Hope International University claimed first place at the conference championship with an overall score of 84.92, while Loyola University New Orleans secured second place with a score of 80.20. Dillard University finished fourth with a score of 74.30, and Ave Maria University placed fifth with an overall score of 72.57.

Despite the competitive field, OLLU's performance demonstrated continued progress and consistency as the team maintains its position among the nation's top programs. The Saints are currently ranked fourth in the nation, a reflection of their steady success throughout the season and their ability to compete at a high level in both national and conference competitions.

With national recognition, multiple podium finishes, and a top-five national ranking, the OLLU dance team continues to build momentum and establish itself as one of the premier programs in the NAIA. As the season continues, the Saints look poised to carry their success forward while representing the university with pride and determination.
