Columbus, Georgia- The stage was set at the NAIA World Series final site as Our Lady of the Lake University opened tournament play against a powerful University of Mobile squad. While the final score did not fall in the Saints' favor, OLLU's presence on one of the sport's biggest stages reflected the consistency, toughness, and championship mentality that defined the program throughout the season.

The Saints entered the matchup determined to establish themselves early, and senior sparkplug Arianna Alejandro immediately provided energy at the top of the lineup. Alejandro finished with two of OLLU's three hits, including a hard-hit double that showcased the aggressive approach the Saints have relied on all season. Her performance helped create one of the brightest moments of the game for OLLU.

After Mobile gained an early advantage, the Saints continued competing inning after inning. Lilly Rocha delivered OLLU's lone RBI, driving in Alejandro and giving the Saints a moment of momentum against one of the tournament's strongest pitching staffs. Caitlin Casas also contributed a hit as OLLU searched for opportunities to chip away at the deficit.

Inside the circle, Annika Litterio and Valeria Vielma battled through a difficult offensive lineup that consistently pressured every inning. Every out was contested, and every inning reflected the determination that helped carry OLLU through a remarkable season to reach the national tournament.

Mobile ultimately capitalized on timely hitting and strong pitching from Avery Harrell to secure the victory. The focus quickly turns toward tomorrow morning's elimination game against Marian University at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.
