Moore’s 21 Points Power OLLU to Victory Over Xavier

San Antonio, Texas- Our Lady of the Lake used a balanced offensive effort and an aggressive defensive performance to earn a 78–57 victory over Xavier in men's basketball action.

The Saints shot efficiently throughout the game, finishing 29-of-55 from the field (52.7 percent), while holding Xavier to 37.7 percent shooting. OLLU also controlled the glass with a 37–32 rebounding advantage and forced 21 turnovers, turning defense into consistent scoring opportunities.

Isaiah Moore led all scorers with 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting, adding five rebounds in 28 minutes. Jaydin Morin-Bishop followed with 16 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Jermey Irwin contributed a strong all-around performance with 10 points, five rebounds and six steals. Kenyon Elliott and Santiago Ochoa each chipped in key minutes as OLLU built separation over the course of the game.

The Saints bench provided solid support, accounting for timely scoring and energy. Davonte Durst scored six points and dished out three assists, while DJ Smith and Matthew Gonzalez each knocked down a three-pointer. OLLU finished 6-of-18 from beyond the arc and went 14-of-20 from the free-throw line.

Xavier was led by Jamal Gibson, who posted 13 points and nine rebounds, and Seviuhn Turner, who scored 10 points. Wayne Randall-Bashay added eight points off the bench. Despite solid individual efforts, Xavier struggled to find consistency offensively and committed 17 personal fouls while being limited to four three-pointers on 16 attempts.

With steady execution on both ends of the floor, Our Lady of the Lake maintained control and closed out the contest to secure the 21-point win. The Saints move to 14-9 overall and 13-5 in conference play. The Saints will be back in action Thursday against Louisiana Christian at 7:30 PM CDT.
