WACO, TEXAS (March 22, 2023) – Our Lady of the Lake University's (OLLU) Cerrone Thompson has been selected as the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the dates of March 13-19. This is the second set of RRAC track and field weekly awards for the 2023 outdoor season.

Thompson placed fifth in the 400-meter dash in a meet hosted by the University of Texas-San Antonio. The freshman sprinter from Anchorage, Alaska, recorded a time of 49.20 against a field of NCAA Division I competition. Thompson also was part of the first-place OLLU 4x400-meter relay team that set a new school record at 3:21.23.
