Saints Continue Outdoor Success at Trinity Invite

San Antonio, Texas- At the Trinity Invite in San Antonio, the men of Our Lady of the Lake University delivered a strong all-around performance against a competitive field featuring programs from across Texas.

The Saints were especially effective in the sprint events, beginning with the men's 100 meters. Freshman Deven Langston posted a time of 10.57 seconds to finish third overall in a deep field led by Huston-Tillotson's Emmanuel Idris. Sophomore Yvann Agah followed with a 10.80 performance, while senior Sean Lin crossed in 10.88, giving OLLU three athletes among the top eight finishers.

OLLU continued its success in the 4x100-meter relay. The quartet of Langston, Lin, Houston Ifah, and Agah combined for a time of 40.91 seconds to place second overall while also achieving the NAIA B qualifying standard. The Saints finished just behind Texas Lutheran in one of the meet's most competitive relay races.

In the distance events, OLLU controlled the men's 1500 meters from start to finish. Senior Jose Saucedo won the event in 4:00.75, leading a group of Saints runners at the front of the field throughout the race. Isai Moran placed second in 4:03.19, followed closely by Diego Moran in third at 4:04.18. Joseph Gonzalez added a fourth-place finish in 4:06.13, while Jose Perez placed sixth in 4:07.34, giving OLLU five runners in the top six.

Joshua Veliz added another strong performance for the Saints in the men's 800 meters, recording a time of 1:56.92 to place seventh overall.

The Saints also earned key points in the field events. Willis Thibeaux finished second in the long jump with a mark of 7.25 meters, while Jordan Butler placed third in the triple jump at 13.40 meters. In the high jump, Damarion Alfred cleared 1.86 meters, and Beau Lewis represented OLLU in both the high jump and the 110-meter hurdles.

Additional contributions came in the men's 400 meters, where Julian Verastegui finished sixth in 49.03 seconds, while Edgar Zuniga and Troy Stinson also competed well for the Saints. Saucedo later returned to place second in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:08.34.
