Garza and Robinson Win Red River's Runners of the Week
WACO, TEXAS (Sept. 19, 2023)– Sanai Robinson of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) was named Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Women's Cross-Country Runner of the Week for Sept. 11-17, while Vincent Garza earned the RRAC Men's Runner of the Week honor for the same dates. This is the second set of conference awards for the 2023 cross country season.
Robinson placed 19th in the 6K race at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) Invitational on Saturday. The freshman from San Antonio posted a time of 22:55 in a field of 87 runners, most from NCAA Division I.
Garza recorded a time of 25:57 in the men's 8K at the UIW Invitational. The freshman from San Antonio finished in 23rd place among a field of 106.
