Saints Sweep A&M-Victoria Over The Weekend

San Antonio, Texas- Our Lady of the Lake University softball completed a dominant four-game series sweep of Texas A&M–Victoria, using explosive offense and strong pitching to secure victories in all four contests.
The Saints opened the series with an 8–5 win behind a standout performance from Tijernia. Tijernia went 3-for-4 at the plate and drove in seven runs, including a home run that powered the OLLU offense. Alejandro added a triple and scored twice, while Rocha recorded two hits. Rosales contributed an RBI and a stolen base as the Saints totaled eight hits in the game.
 
Litterio earned the win in the circle, pitching six innings while allowing four hits and striking out six. Vielma entered in the seventh inning to record the save and secure the victory.
OLLU followed with a 4–1 win in the second game of the series, powered by a complete-game effort from Vielma. She allowed five hits and just one run across seven innings while walking two and striking out two.
 
The Saints again finished with eight hits in the contest. Rosales led the offense with two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Alejandro added a hit, a walk and an RBI, while Aguirre, Perez, Casas, Rocha and Rodriguez each recorded hits. Guzman also drove in a run as OLLU capitalized on its scoring opportunities.
 
The Saints offense erupted in the third game as OLLU rolled to a 14–1 victory in five innings. The team recorded 16 hits in the contest while scoring early and often.
Alejandro paced the offense with two hits and three runs scored. Aguirre also crossed the plate three times and drove in two runs. Tijernia collected two hits and two RBIs, while Rocha added a home run and three RBIs. Rosales also homered and drove in three runs. Gloria finished with two hits and an RBI, Perez added two hits including a double, and Casas drove in a run as the Saints produced a balanced offensive effort.Vielma earned the win in the circle in the third game, allowing just two hits and one run across five innings.
 
The Saints closed the series with a 6–0 victory behind another strong pitching performance from Litterio. She threw a complete-game shutout, allowing just three hits while striking out five.
At the plate, Alejandro led the offense with two hits, including two doubles, and an RBI. Ramirez added two hits and drove in a run, while Gloria hit a home run and scored twice. Rocha delivered a key double and two RBIs, and Alegria and Marina Litterio each added hits as OLLU finished with nine hits in the finale.
