Saints Rally For Regular Season Finale Win Against TAMUSA

San Antonio, Texas- Our Lady of the Lake University softball team concluded its three-game series against Texas A&M–San Antonio with a 1–2 record, dropping the first two contests before closing the series with a dominant 13–1 victory.

In the opening game, OLLU was edged 2–1 in a tightly contested pitching duel. The Saints collected seven hits but were limited to one run, which came from Yezenia Perez. Arianna Alejandro and Novalee Gloria each contributed multi-hit performances, while Marisa Rosales added a double. Annika Litterio delivered a complete-game effort in the circle, allowing two earned runs on five hits while striking out three over six innings. Despite keeping the game within reach throughout, OLLU was unable to generate the late offense needed to overcome the deficit.

The Saints returned for game two but fell short in a 4–3 decision. Brianna Ramirez led the offense with a two-RBI performance, while Rosales, Gloria, Alejandro, and Lilly Rocha contributed to a balanced attack. Marina Litterio also drove in a run as OLLU totaled seven hits in the contest. Valeria Vielma started in the circle and worked five innings, with Annika Litterio pitching in relief. Texas A&M–San Antonio responded with key timely hits late in the game to secure the narrow win and take a 2–0 series lead.

OLLU closed the series on a strong note with a commanding 13–1 victory. The Saints produced 18 hits and displayed consistent offensive pressure throughout the lineup. Yezenia Perez led the way, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs, while Arianna Alejandro contributed three RBIs of her own. Annika Litterio added a strong two-RBI, three-hit performance, and also earned the win in the circle, allowing one run over five innings with three strikeouts. Additional run production came from Tania Rodriguez, Marisa Rosales, Caitlin Casas, Marina Litterio, Lilly Rocha, and others, highlighting a complete team effort.

Despite dropping the first two games of the series, OLLU finished on a high note with a decisive offensive performance in the finale. The Saints will move on to postseason play on Thursday.
