Jody Armijo Jr. is an accomplished softball coach and former competitive fastpitch athlete with over 20 years of experience in coaching, player development, and program management. For the past 6 years he has served as an Assistant Coach at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU), where he has been instrumental in building a nationally recognized program. During his tenure, OLLU has earned multiple conference championships, two NAIA World Series appearances, and the 2024 NAIA National Championship.

 Specializing in pitcher and catcher development, Armijo integrates data analysis, film study, and advanced training techniques to refine pitching mechanics, pitch selection, and game management. He also plays a key role in scouting, recruiting, and team operations, while overseeing facility management and travel logistics. His coaching has helped produce standout athletes, including multiple Conference Pitchers of the Year, Catchers of the Year, and the 2024 NAIA National Pitcher of the Year.

 As a lifelong competitor, he spent more than two decades playing and coaching men’s fastpitch softball at the state, national, and international levels. Competing as both a pitcher and infielder, he gained valuable experience training alongside and learning from some of the top players and coaches in the game.

 Currently pursuing studies in Communications, Armijo continues to grow as a leader while dedicating his career to mentoring athletes, developing championship programs, and advancing the game of softball.
