Lewis, Ramirez and Sanchez Selected as NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, MO. (March 9, 2023) – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete today. Selected from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) is Cormia Lewis, Lorena Ramirez and Angeline Sanchez.

The 2023 list features student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by the institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.

Lewis earned a 3.57 GPA, Ramirez marked a 3.51 and Sanchez had a 3.62.
