OLLU's Natalia Trevino Selected to NAIA All-America Team
KANSAS CITY, MO. (March 22, 2023) – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2022-2023 Women's Basketball All-America Teams. Natalia Trevino of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) has been selected to the Honorable Mention Team.
Head Coach Tanya Ray commented, "This is a well-deserved honor for Nat. It's an accumulation of the work she put in over the course of the season, and it's good that she is being recognized for her efforts. What a great way to cap off her playing career at OLLU."
Trevino's 2022-2023 season included the following stats: 26 games played, 26 games started, 381 points scored for 16.4 ppg., 132-308 FG-FGA for 42.9 percent, 50-130 3FG-FGA for 38.5 percent, 67-87 FT-FTA for 77 percent, 136 rebounds for 5.2 rpg., 95 assists for 3.7 apg. and 69 steals for 2.7 spg.
The Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) selected Trevino to the All-Conference First Team.
Trevino, who played for the Saints ends her career with 92 games played, 383-853 FG-FGA for 46.2 percent, 126-3447 3FG-FGA for 33 percent, 153-199 FT-FTA for 75.8 percent, 312 rebounds, 241 assists and 1268 steals. She has 1,084 career points scored and joined the Saints 1,000 Point Club after the Feb. 11 game against Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
Trevino is the 16th member of the women's basketball team to be named to the NAIA All-America Team. Others include:
