SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Our Lady of the Lake (OLLU) women's basketball team made the short trip to the south side of San Antonio on Saturday to take on the Jaguars of Texas A&M San Antonio. The Saints fell 77-61 to the Jaguars.

The Saints jumped on the Jaguars early and led most of the first quarter. Over the last two minutes, the Jaguars used a 10-4 run to take a 22-15 advantage.

Trailing 27-20 in the second quarter, Julia Plata knocked down a triple to bring the Saints within four points of the TAMUSA lead. Both teams would suffer a scoring drought over the next three minutes until a pair of free throws from the Jaguars ended the cold spell at the 5:00 mark. TAMUSA would add to its lead over the last half of the quarter to take a 42-33 lead into the half.

The third quarter proved to be the difference in the game as the Saints were outscored 22-13 and trailed 64-46 with just one quarter left to play.

In the final 10:00, the Saints were 3-of-5 from the three-point line including two from Plata and one from Samantha Fields. OLLU won the quarter 15-13 but the TAMUSA lead was too much to overcome.
