SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 13, 2024) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's golf team will begin its 2024 season on Feb. 19. The women will return to participate as a member of the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC).

2022-2023 season overview

The women's team finished in third place at the CAC, which was held at the Golf Club of Texas and hosted by OLLU. The team won the Texas Lutheran University Crusader Invitational and was named an NAIA Scholar Team. 

2023 fall schedule

The Saints played a few events during the fall. The women were fourth in the TLU Lady Bulldogs Classic and fifth in the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Legends Cup. The Saints won the UHV Fall Classic, and newcomer Kendall Ward tied for first place.

2024 spring schedule

The women's team opens its season Feb. 26-27 at the Claud Jacobs Invitational sponsored by UHV in Victoria, Texas, and on March 4-5, the Saints will play in the Schreiner University Invitational in Kerrville, Texas. The team will travel to Llano, Calif., for the TMU Invite sponsored by the Master's University, from April 8-9. Next, the Saints will play in the Texas Wesleyan University Invitational in Willow Park, Texas, from April 15-16. The conference tournament, hosted by UHV, will take place April 29-30, and the women's national tournament will be held May 14-17 in Illinois.

Newcomers

Freshmen Daniella Diaz joins the Saints from San Antonio, Kendall Ward from Spring, Texas, and Grayson Weiler from Schertz, Texas. women's team. 

Returners

Returning for the women are juniors Alexis Calzada, Miliani Georges, Alahnna Limones and Annabelle Reyna. Seniors include Ceci Lattuada, Madelyn Miller and Christina Trujillo.

Staff

Head Coach Arnie Martinez is in his fifth season with the Saints. Allison Trevino will return as assistant coach for the women's team. "Allie Trevino is a rock star; she's very important in helping us get better. She understands what it takes on the female side to be successful."

Academic success

The women earned NAIA Scholar Team recognition. The women marked a 3.45 GPA. Martinez said, "We are always pushing to grow young women to be functional members of society, and part of that is academic success."
