WESTWORTH, TEXAS (Oct. 29, 2024) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's golf team had four of five players in the top 10 out of a slate of 42 to win the 2024 Crusader Cup. The event was sponsored by the University of Dallas (UD) at the Hawks Creek Golf Course.

Head Coach Arnie Martinez said, "I'm so proud of our women. It was great to see them playing well and making good decisions. Hawks Creek was a great test of golf. Our women worked hard to set up a game plan and executive. Congrats to Annabelle for securing the individual title. Kendall finishing second, Ceci finishing in fourth and Grayson finishing in fifth was great. I've said this all semester, 'we have the kind of team that, if playing well, we should be competing to win every event we enter.' It was a great way to end our fall semester. Now we have our sights set for the spring. I'm excited for the future. Go Saints!"

The Saints marked a score of 317/309=626 for first place. They were followed by UD with a 348/339=687 for second, with Millsaps University in third at 353/347=700, Schreiner University in fourth at 343/360=703, Texas Lutheran University at 355/355=710 for fifth, Centernary University at 376/371=747 in sixth, Lyon University at 394/390=784 for seventh and Howard Payne University at 458/462=920 for eighth.

Winning the individual championship was Annabelle Reyna who had a two-round 75/74=149. She was followed by Kendall Ward, who finished at78/79=157. Ceci Lattuada came in fourth at 83/75=159, followed by Grayson Weiler at 82/80=162 for fifth and Samantha Garcia in a three-way tie for 13th at 82/93=175.

The Saints will start their spring season after the new year.
