WACO, TEXAS (Oct. 4, 2022) - Deanna Tarango of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) was tabbed as the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 26-Oct. 2. This is the sixth set of conference awards for the 2022 women's soccer season. 

Tarango led the Saints to two conference victories while only allowing one goal. The junior defender from El Paso, Texas, was part of a wall that defeated LSU Alexandria (LSUA), 3-0, and defending conference champion Louisiana Christian University (LCU), 3-1. OLLU only allowed nine shots on goal in the two games combined. The Saints stand at 2-0-2 in the RRAC with a 4-2-4 mark overall.
