WACO, TEXAS (Oct. 25, 2022) - Deanna Tarango of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) was named the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 17-23. This is the ninth set of conference awards for the 2022 women's soccer season. 

Tarango and the Saints' defense limited the opposition to one goal in a win and a tie last week. The junior defender from El Paso, Texas, helped limit the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) to eight shots in a 1-1 draw. Tarango also led OLLU to a 2-0 shutout of Huston-Tillotson University (HTU) on Saturday with only five shots allowed. The Saints are tied for third in the RRAC at 5-1-4 with a mark of 7-3-6 on the season.
