SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 2, 2022) – The Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) women's soccer team has qualified for its 13th Red River Athletic Conference Championships, and this year, the women are the No. 4 seed.

First round schedule

The Saints will host the No. 5 seed Louisiana Christian University (LCU) on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m.

The other first round game is between No. 6 Texas A&M University-San Antonio (TAMUSA) at No. 3 LSU-Alexandria (LSUA) and will be played in Pineville, La., at 1 p.m. on Nov. 5.

Semifinals and Championship schedule

On Nov. 10, No. 1 Texas A&M University-Texarkana (TAMUT) will play the winner of the game between LSUA and TAMUSA 11 a.m. No. 2 the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) will play OLLU or LCU at 1:30 p.m.

The championship match will take place Nov. 12 at 1 p.m.

The semifinals and championship game will be hosted by TAMUT in Texarkana, Texas.

History

The Saints have made it to the finals in 2009, 2010 and 2021; the semifinals in 2011, 2012 and 2018; and they won the conference tournament in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2020. The Saints missed making the playoffs two years – in 2008 and in 2017.

OLLU season stats

In 17 games this season, the Saints have scored 42 goals, and added 18 assists on 261 shots, 161 on goal.

Kyleigh Spree-Kolos leads the team in goals with nine, followed by Kaitlyn Olivas with eight. Spree-Kolos also leads in shots with 44, 25 on goal, and Olivas has 28 shots, 21 on goal. Tess Pitcher has logged 61 saves and has a 5-2-5 record with three shutouts.

LCU season stats

LCU has played in 12 games this season and the Wildcats have 31 goals, and added 22 assists on 192 shots, 114 on goal.

Emma Monnet leads her team in goals with 10, in shots with 33 and in shots on goal with 18. Keeper Jessica Carro Pedreira has 32 saves and her record is 3-3 with two shutouts.
