OLLU Saints Dominate Jaguars in 6–0 Road Victory

Victoria, Texas – The Our Lady of the Lake University women's soccer team delivered a statement win on the road Monday afternoon, dismantling the Texas A&M–Victoria Jaguars 6–0 in a commanding performance that showcased the Saints offensive depth and defensive discipline.

The Saints wasted no time setting the tone. In the 18th minute, Leah Tapia found the back of the net off a precise assist from Kaitlyn Olivas, putting OLLU up 1–0. Just three minutes later, Tapia returned the favor, threading a perfect ball to Miya Haehnel, who doubled the lead at 20:07 with a composed finish past the Jaguars keeper.

The momentum stayed firmly in OLLU's control. Eleonora Diversi capitalized on a defensive miscue at 25:53, curling in an unassisted goal to make it 3–0. Barely a minute and a half later, Olivas joined the scoring frenzy herself, firing home an unassisted strike in the 27th minute to extend the advantage to 4–0.

The Saints weren't done yet. At 39:41, Hannah Brookfield added another unassisted goal, a clinical finish that sent OLLU into halftime with a 5–0 cushion.

Despite the lopsided scoreline, the Saints didn't let up. In the 87th minute, Grace Reed capped off the scoring with a goal assisted by Olivas, her third contribution of the match, sealing the emphatic 6–0 victory.

OLLU outshot Texas A&M–Victoria 19–5, displaying dominance in every phase of the game. The Jaguars managed only five total attempts, none of which were on frame. London Suarez tended goal in the first half and Salka Hrafns took over in the second; neither faced a shot on goal, securing the Saints shutout.

Corner kicks were slightly in favor of the Jaguars (3–2), but that was one of the few areas where the hosts had the edge. OLLU's relentless pressure and organized backline stifled every Jaguar attack.

With the win, OLLU improves to 9–4–2 overall and 6–2–1 in conference play, solidifying their standing as one of the conference's top contenders.

The Saints will look to carry their momentum back home when they host Texas College on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. CDT.
