Reynard and Ramirez Win Conference Volleyball Players of the Week Awards
WACO, TEXAS (Oct. 17, 2022) - Camila Ramirez of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) earned recognition as the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Oct. 3-9. OLLU's Lauren Reynard claimed the RRAC Setter of the Week award. This is the eighth set of conference awards for the 2022 volleyball season.
Ramirez had a big week to lead the Saints to two victories at Louisiana Christian University. The sophomore outside hitter from El Paso, Texas, averaged 3.6 kills per set as OLLU posted wins of 3-1 and 3-0. Ramirez registered a total of 25 kills with seven errors in 41 total attacks for a .439 hitting percentage. She ranks seventh in the conference with 144 kills this season. OLLU stands at 10-0 in RRAC play and 13-4 on the season.
Reynard was recognized for the fourth time this season with 8.3 assists per set in the wins over LCU. The freshman setter from San Antonio reached the 29 assist mark in both matches and contributed eight digs for the week. Reynard continues to lead the RRAC in assists (512) and assists per set (9.2).
