Saints Come Up Short Against Eagles

San Antonio, Texas- Our Lady of the Lake University delivered a strong overall performance despite a 80–70 loss to Texas A&M University–Texarkana, demonstrating efficiency and composure in several key areas of the game.

The Saints were highly effective offensively, shooting 50 percent from the field (25-of-50), compared to Texarkana's 41.5 percent (27-of-65). Alexandra Westerdijk Martin led the way with 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting while adding a team-high 11 rebounds. Her presence in the paint and on the glass provided consistent production throughout the contest.

Macie Moss contributed 11 points and nine rebounds, narrowly missing a double-double, while Isabella Jaramillo added 10 points and converted 6-of-7 free throw attempts. Samantha Fields facilitated the offense with four assists and added seven points. Off the bench, Amya Miller-Singleton delivered an efficient 12 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting performance in limited minutes, giving the Saints valuable scoring support.

Our Lady of the Lake also held the rebounding advantage, 38–34, and matched Texarkana with 11 assists.

The Saints will be back in action Saturday against LSU-Shreveport at 1:00 PM CDT. It will be senior day.
